Privacy Policy

Prachi POS ("Prachi", "we", "us", "our") is a point-of-sale Android app for small Indian businesses, developed by Fragmasoft Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Prachi POS, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
Information you provide
- Phone number — used to verify your identity via SMS OTP through Firebase Authentication. Not shared with third parties; not used for marketing.
- Shop profile — shop name, owner name, business type, city, address, optional GSTIN/FSSAI numbers, business size, daily transaction range, device requirements. You enter these during onboarding.
- Menu items — names, prices, categories, optional photos, optional cost prices. Stored in your private cloud database scoped to your account.
- Orders — items, quantities, prices, totals, status, timestamps.
- Expenses — amounts, categories, dates, optional notes.
Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers — Firebase auto-generates an anonymous installation ID for crash reporting and authentication.
- Crash data — when the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects a stack trace and basic device info (model, Android version, free memory). No personal data is included.
Permissions and hardware
- Camera — accessed only when you tap "Add photo" for a menu item. Photos you take are stored in your private cloud storage and used only to display item images in your own app.
- Bluetooth + Location — required by Android for Bluetooth thermal printer pairing. Location is not stored, transmitted, or used for tracking. Permission is requested only when you open Printer Settings.
- Internet — required for syncing data, sending OTP, and processing payments.
How we use your information
- To run the app's core features: authenticating you, storing your menu, processing orders, syncing data across your devices.
- To process subscription payments: ₹299/month subscription fees are processed via Razorpay. We never see your card or UPI details — Razorpay handles all payment data subject to their privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.
- To improve the app: aggregated crash reports help us fix bugs. Not used to identify individual users.
Where your data is stored
- Firebase (Google Cloud, asia-south1 region — Mumbai) — phone authentication, database, cloud storage, server functions.
- Razorpay (India) — payment information related to subscription transactions. Handled per Razorpay's privacy policy.
- Your device — local cache of your own shop's data via offline persistence. Cleared when you sign out.
Who can access your data
- Only you. Your data is scoped to your authenticated user account. Cloud security rules block any other user from reading or modifying your data.
- Fragmasoft Solutions support staff — only with your explicit permission for support purposes (e.g., debugging an issue you reported).
- Service providers — Google (Firebase), Razorpay (payments). They process data only for the purposes listed above.
- We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone. We do NOT show advertising in Prachi POS.
Data retention
- Active accounts: data retained as long as your subscription is active.
- Cancelled accounts: data retained for 90 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted.
- You can request earlier deletion by emailing info@fragmasoft.com.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data in a machine-readable format

Children
Prachi POS is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Security
- All connections use HTTPS/TLS.
- Phone authentication uses Firebase's hardened OTP flow.
- Subscription state is verified server-side via Cloud Functions; clients cannot forge payments.
- Your data is isolated by cloud security rules to your authenticated user only.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be notified within the app.
